Our Des Moines and Ankeny clinics are equipped with state of the art ultrasound machines. We are able to perform most scans on site for your convenience. We also have the ability to do 3D ultrasound.
We are able to perform many lab tests related to our specialty on site for your convenience. It is important that you tell us where your lab work needs to go in case it needs to be sent out.
We have a GE Lunar Bone Densitometry machine that produces images of the spine and hip. The computer then calculates how much bone mineral is present to aid in the diagnosis of osteoporosis. The noninvasive test takes about 15 minutes. Basically you lie still on a padded table and breathe normally during the test.
